found a error on 3/7/26 bulid date of 3/5/26, at the Web Lists - Web Lists - (blank) - Web List Name - Web List URI: http://syncterm.bbsdev.net/syncterm.lst you might want to change that (note thats the default)
that doesn't work - getting a message of can't decode (or something like that)

Can you provide the exact message you're getting? I use that list every day.

Interesting, "Failed to decrypt BBS list" indicates SyncTERM tried to load a BBS list, discovered it was encrypted, and the SyncTERM knows will not decrypt it.

I'm not sure exactly how to reproduce this as that file isn't encrypted. I'm also not clear what you meant by this part of the description: "at the Web Lists - Web Lists - (blank) - Web List Name - Web List URI: http://syncterm.bbsdev.net/syncterm.lst"

Is your main BBS list encrypted?

Can you describe all the steps you take from when the program starts to when the error message is displayed?

Ok, I believe I found (and fixed) the issue... I'm rebuilding the latest, so you should be able to download it in a few minutes. The issue was handling of list files with no lines (for example an empty syncterm.lst).
