Unicode support is slated as a v2.0 feature along with SDL 2.0 and some other updates. The unicode support will go along with Unicode support in Synchronet proper.

Yes, it's still planned after RIP support stabilizes. Using the SyncTERM terminfo or termcap entry and the appropriate flags for CP437 should allow most roguelikes to work however, most of them don't actually use unicode.

Hey @deuce are you still planning on implementing this? Would be super cool for supporting roguelikes and native console games as doors!
