Synchronization from and to FTP server would take Create Synchronicity to a higher level! Is it possible? Backup to remote server, update website files, etc. etc.
Thanks for this feature request. I've thinking about implementing this feature for a long time now, although I haven't had the time yet to do so. It requires that many changes be made to the synchronizing engine, with non-trivial problems arising.
However, this feature should eventually be implemented.
If you want to be kept informed about the progress made on this, I would suggest that you either subscribe to the newsletter (synchronicity-updates mailing list), or register on sourceforge and post a comment here.
Thanks for your comments,
CFP.

If FTP would be supported then also SFTP would be great, but suddenly we're talking about a rather big upgrade... one thing I love about the program is the minimalistic design :) of course function goes before size though.
+1 anyway

Sure, it will require quite a lot of work =) Yet it should be feasible, if I manage to find a pretty way to store passwords and all. But in the end it should be pretty feasible, only it will have an impact anyway on the file size =)
We'll see, I'll start working on this in two weeks I think.
