#65 Arrows in synchronize view not displayed correctly

In synchronized view the arrow indicating the direction is displayed as a little square (see attachment). This also applies to the arrow in the window title.

This happens on an English Windows XP.

Thanks Wein. I had this bug for a while, and I seemed to have fixed it, but it seldom resurfaces. i think I'll revert to the rather bad-looking "->", that didn't cause so much trouble.
