I don't own an iPhone yet. I'm thinking about getting one at some point. Here's what I want to know. 1. Can I sync all of my IMAP folders? 2. Can I sync my calendar? 3. Are there any other options? Thanks! |

Hey, I was wondering if anyone here knew if and when the
following features were on the road map to being released
for the WM version of Funambol:
1) Html email - WM 6.1 introduced full html support for all
its messaging inboxes, including pop3 and imap.
Funambol, apparently, makes it revert the inbox back to
text only. Not sure if that's a function of the server or
the client at this point.
2) Two - way synchronization (reverse push)- with an
exchange server (MS direct push), when I check a message on
my phone, it will show up as checked on my server and
workstation. With funambol, I could be out of the office
for a while checking messages, but come back to my desk to
find the last 5 emails still marked "unread". Actually, it
won't update my IMAP server that mail has been checked at
all, so if I log in directly to webmail, all my recent
messages appear to still be unread??
Additionally, if I delete a message, it won't update until
I manually sync on the server.
These 2 issues are very frustrating because if I were to go
back to straight IMAP, these problems wouldn't exist
(checked mail remains in sync, html would be preserved,
etc). The only reason to use funambol as is, is for the
prospect of push email without an exchange server. Any even
that seems to be difficult to implement properly.
Any idea if these issues will be addressed?

We are planning to change it and have the client for smarter devices able to ask for the HTML part. Unfortunately, it's late now to make it fit into the upcoming Capri release. > > 2) Two - way synchronization (reverse push)- with an > exchange server (MS direct push), when I check a message on > my phone, it will show up as checked on my server and > workstation. This is strange. Please make sure that the portal is configured to use IMAP connection and not POP (from the description, it looks like the normal POP behavior). I'm using the client on a daily basis and I do have the flags synchronized. Thanks, Andrea -- Andrea Gazzaniga funambol :: mobile open source :: http://www.funambol.com |

I'm wondering if its not the client, but rather the my.funambol service that is not pushing properly. I've gone back to using an Exchange Server for now, but would love to see this working properly, especially with a hosted service like My.Funambol. Can anyone verify that tasks and calendar items push to a WM device when using MyFunambol? --- Andrea Gazzaniga <ag...@gm...> wrote: > Ciao, > > On Tue, May 6, 2008 at 9:49 PM, mztg <mz...@ya...> > wrote: > > > Hey, I was wondering if anyone here knew if and when > the > > following features were on the road map to being > released > > for the WM version of Funambol: > > > > 1) Html email - WM 6.1 introduced full html support for > all > > its messaging inboxes, including pop3 and imap. > > Funambol, apparently, makes it revert the inbox back to > > text only. Hi, for now there is a plugin for a jailbroken iphone only that can sync contacts. We are working on a new plugin based on the official SDK with the same feature.
