I am currently working on the some kind of config file to store the preferences and the hostaddress. About the crashes... well these bugs are difficult to find but I am on it.

On my opinion, it would also be beneficial if the application were able to make hostname lookups. After all, hostnames were invented to make the net easier for humans to use; forcing us to remember mundane addresses is so "70's" :)
