Hello everyone !! I'm sorry but I'm late on my part (transcode) (but it's over now) so the release can't be done this week... Moreover, there are plenty of things that should be integrated in this next release. So I decided to plan 2 alpha versions and one beta, and it could be nice to have a stable version this time ! Here are the details: ### Roadmap to v0.3 # Todo for v0.3a1 - use Danizmax GUI - logging in a file - Exported Folder is not updated immediately after having been changed (and maybe same trouble with temp folder) - code dialogues between decode/encode threads and the GUI to let the user know what's going on (with the speed ?) - empty OMGAUDIO folder when building the database # Todo for v0.3a2 - clean and use languages files - fix up OMA support for old generations - check all wanted transcode files support (MP2, WAVE, AAC,...?) # Todo for v0.3b - tag read ability (FLAC, OGG, MPC, WMA,... ...) # Todo for v0.3 Unbug the program (any bug) I hope that v0.3a1 will be ready in one or two weeks (I have personal things which may delay me...). If you have any comments, don't hesitate to answer ! See you guys, Nicolas 2008/4/23 Nicolas Cardoso <nic...@us...>: > Hi everybody ! > > A second e-mail to plan the next alpha of JSymphonic. > Version 0.2.1 won't have beta release because, the new feature (OMA > support) doesn't work on protected generations... but many things have > changed in the svn, and it is necessary to plan a new release !! > > So, next version will also be an alpha, since OMA support is not fully > working... and moreover, lots of work is left to do on the transcode > feature for reading the tags in all new formats (OGG, FLAC, MPC, WMA, > ACC,...) but the feature will be used getting info from files > structure. > > Anyway, I plan to release the 0.3a on may, the 14th, one week after > the logo will be voted. > > What should be ready for 0.3 alpha: > - transcode feature (nicolas_cardoso) > - logging in a file (nicolas_cardoso and ... ? ) > - new language appearing in config windows (nicolas_cardoso or danizmax) > - new GUI (danizmax) > - the logo (parha) > - at least one web page to display the logo and a download link (ulluss) > > Neub, let me know if playlist feature should be available in alpha > version at this date. > > If you have remark or question, or if you want to discuss this e-mail, > just answer it !! > > See you > Nicolas > |

<you received this e-mail because you are either on the Symphonic developers list or in the Symphonic alpha-testers list> Hello everyone !! Thanks to people who have voted (9, to few in my sense, anyway...). And the winner is... 13 !! To recall you, it's the middle one in this picture: http://www.hebergementimages.com/images/1208515284_JS01.JPG Its score is 20.5 points. Second one is 12 (the one on the right on the same picture) with 7 points. So one can say that logo 13 is really liked !! Third one is number 5 with 5 points. The logo number13 is so officially JSymphonic logo, it will appear in the next v0.3 release. It will also be the starting point to design the website. Have a nice week end ! Oh, I'm sorry Sylvain, I was remembering that you send me another logo, but I didn't succeed in finding it yesterday... whatever, it is an alternative of your first one, so it doesn't change anything for the election. Concerning the asking users' opinions, if all of us are voting, it makes more that 20 votes... so I think it could be enough... and I don't want this to last in time... But, as everybody may not take time to vote, we can alternatively ask to the alpha-testers, so about 15 more votes. What do you think of that ?? Please, use the forum ( https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1696768&forum_id=670368) or this mailing-list to answer. Hi everybody ! A second e-mail to plan the next alpha of JSymphonic. Version 0.2.1 won't have beta release because, the new feature (OMA support) doesn't work on protected generations... but many things have changed in the svn, and it is necessary to plan a new release !! So, next version will also be an alpha, since OMA support is not fully working... and moreover, lots of work is left to do on the transcode feature for reading the tags in all new formats (OGG, FLAC, MPC, WMA, ACC,...) but the feature will be used getting info from files structure. Anyway, I plan to release the 0.3a on may, the 14th, one week after the logo will be voted. What should be ready for 0.3 alpha: - transcode feature (nicolas_cardoso) - logging in a file (nicolas_cardoso and ... ? ) - new language appearing in config windows (nicolas_cardoso or danizmax) - new GUI (danizmax) - the logo (parha) - at least one web page to display the logo and a download link (ulluss) Neub, let me know if playlist feature should be available in alpha version at this date. If you have remark or question, or if you want to discuss this e-mail, just answer it !! See you Nicolas |

Hello ! Some news concerning the last alpha version: The support of OMA for protected players is still not working, that is the reason why I didn't release a beta version. I'm working on a third 0.2.1alpha (since the second didn't correct the problem). So you have more time to report me bugs ! Hello everybody ! I propose to make some meetings to discuss two main points : 1) the web site 2) introduction to the project for new members or for old who want to be aware of what is new. The idea is to do a "vocal meeting" using "mumble" ('team speak' like program), I hope that everybody who wants to participate has a microphone. Anyway, we should fix together the more suitable time for these meetings. I propose to do 3 sessions : Session 1) introduction to the project in english Session 2) introduction to the project in french (part of the team speak french, like me :-) ) Session 3) web site (will be in french if no english speaker wants to participate) These meeting should take place between friday 21st and thursday 27th of march. You have until thursday 20th to answer this e-mail, if you don't, we won't wait for you to fix the time and date. Please give me your availability (you can answer to https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1957804&forum_id=670368 so everybody will see what time suits everyone). You'll have to give the time you are available in UTC !! Concening the web site, don't feel obliged to assist the meeting, you can just post your comment on the dedicated topic here: https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1957804&forum_id=670368 My availability : Every week day between 19H UTC and 24H UTC All time in the week end. See you Nicolas |
