The kernel log will be very useful for us because other people with the 
same card might have the same problem.

The best supported devices in syllable are:

*Intel onboard chipsets starting from the i830
*Nvidia devices starting from the first geforce
*sis devices (there are not many non-onboard sis chipsets)

The card should also have at least 16mb video memory.
