A semi-peripheral question comes to mind: How much room is there for human error when upgrading (for example) the kernel, userland (ls, ps, etc) and built in software (python, perl, bash, etc)? This software is separate from what I'd call an App in Syllable. Users will need to update this "System" software. Maybe this is best run through a package manager, albeit one you don't make so available to users (see apt, rpm, etc). |
