The only drawback to little sports fans in the family is that there is
far more focus on the dogs' travels and adventures than on actual
sports. As the Sheriff, Ermey is fantastic. Soon, the two are close
friends, but a sudden appearance by the Snow Queen injures Kay. Purists
will admire the inclusion of the original mono soundtrack, while fans
hoping for a more beefed-up modern mix will be disappointed to learn
that mono is all you get. 1 Surround, with available French and Spanish
language tracks. It's a most distracting artifice, and one that may
indicate that the producers didn't trust their original idea of
integrating live-action with the computer-generated backgrounds.<br>
Sure, these notions are there, and the apartments serve as a steady
location throughout the picture, but the film would rather tell the
story of Leo's family and how it's falling apart.<br>
On a technical level, it's a fine DVD; the movie, on the other hand.<br>
