FWIW, the OpenTracker project is currently prototyping/implementing the=20 future OpenBeOS Localisation Kit. There's been a lot of good discussion=20 lately, and code committed to cvs. http://opentracker.sourceforge.net/main.html http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/opentracker/locale/include/ 12/11/2003 "The OpenTracker umbrella contains a new project: the creation of a=20 full-fledged BeOS Locale Kit. The project aims to be compatible to=20 existing translation efforts as much as possible but deliver an=20 adequate solution for all (or almost all) localisation issues. The Kit=20 is currently in its planning and design stages, you can find a first=20 draft of its headers in the CVS repository; the discussion is going on=20 in the developer forum - we are very interested in input from native=20 speakers of non "Western" languages (especially Asian languages). This=20 Kit is going to be used by the localized version of Tracker/Deskbar in=20 the next release (which focusses on usability)" /Jonas Sundstr=F6m. www.kirilla.com |
