So if interested, heres the deal: I ported pppd and was working on porting the ppp.c linux kernel driver but after some discussion it was decided that this wasn't the right way to do it. So basically we're going to build it similar to how eth_interface works. I'll can't quite remember all the details, but there was some stuff on the mailing list a while back. I'll go back through my mail and find it. Of course the syllable ppp driver will probably be a port of the linux one. However instead of pppd, we'll be doing some other stuff. I've already played with my serial modem from Syllable so that all works fine. Its just a matter of filling in the missing pieces, which unfortunately is the entire PPP infrastructure at the moment.
