As you may know I really love SwtFox - it makes using eclipse on Linux/Unix a real joy!
However the last release is quite a bit old, and I am afraid that the project sleeps or is even dead? Is this true???
Thanks in advance and SWTFox is great!

No it is not dead yet.
Guys, you have to live with these pauses. Come on - I have a regular job, outside my OSS work and I have to have some priorities from time to time.
As to what's next: if you follow the commits, you'll see that the comming stuff is:
- SWT 3.1M5 widget compliancy (Spinner/Link/Multi-column Tree)
- Advanced graphics support (with Cairo)
- SWT_AWT support
- WYSIWYG Printing support
- Compliance with the new Fox 1.4.X release

i'm also waiting impatiently for next swt-fox release. truly speaking there is no sense for me in using eclipse with gtk port, it's just far to slow :(
meantime i tried to recompile it by my own from cvs sources. Unfortunately with no success. I had a 3 (as I remeber) compile errors. One of them was trivial to correct, but next errors were a bit more difficult (cast problems).
anyway, excellent work. please do not let this project die :)

It will not die.
But if you only knew how much new stuff there is in the SWT 3.1M releases..
FYI:
- Advanced graphics support (drawing antialiased shapes; alpha support)
- Multi-column tree
- Spinner widget with real (as opposed to integer) values support
- Link widget
I'm catching up to all of these, but very slowly..

By the way, good stuff is coming on the horizon for Fox 1.5.X (of course, SWT/Fox will take advantage of this, when the time comes):
- UTF8 support: Jeroen is already working on this - no more i18n issues..
- Theming support: this, coupled with Cairo may result in Fox using unified theming with GTK+/Qt..
Also, I do hope Jeroen will merge my:
- Printing support
- Hosting foreign widgets (useful for SWT_AWT interop & for hosting Browser widget)

Sorry - it was not my intention that my post sounds a bit unpolite and I did not want to make any hurry at all.
I was just afraid SwtFox is "dead", since about 1y ago when there was a long time no release.
SwtFox is great and I am looking foreward to Beta5.
Thanks a lot, lg Clemens

M6 is now out. I hope swtfox can catch up and fix the big bugs soon.

Don't forget column re-ordering by drag&drop :)
Yes 3.1 added a few nice things, but gtk remains slow. Hope fox doesn't stay behind too long.
Really looking forward to the next release...
Any updates?
swtfox beta 4 was released 6 months ago, and SWT 3.1 is at M7 now.
