I want to write a function that returns a function object to the
scripting language. The language in question is Lua. The idea is that
this function will convert a given object into a Lua iterator function.
I don't think typemaps will work, because there is no C++ type
equivalent that the function returns. This is not a function that
already exists; this is a new function used to adapt C++-style iterators
into a Lua-style iterator function.
Is there some way to do this? I know I can use %native, but that does an
end-run around SWIG's parameter typechecking, which is something I want
to keep (I'd *really* rather not have to verify that each parameter is
of the type I expect it to be). Is there some
