I finished reimplementing overloading in R-SWIG last night with the same
mechanism that AllegroCL uses. It now runs faster, has smaller code, and all
of the R wrappers now pass the test suite.
Since the implementation of R-SWIG that I have now passes the entire swig test
suite and it also has all of the functionality that was in Prof. Lang's
original implementation, are there any other barriers from keeping it from
the main tree. The version I have is integral for what I'm doing with
Shanghai derivatives so I will be supporting it for a long time to come.
