Great to to see doxygen test cases being committed. I would be very happy to see every future doxygen improvement/fix committed with a test case.

Re the extra dependency on tools.jar, is this shipped with all jdks? I would prefer standard jdk dependencies if possible.


I hope so, at least It's present at all sun JDKs and in OpenJDK (although I'm not sure if there is a needed tool there). I know that any additional dependency is evil, but I thought that it's better to use some system lib that include some third party code. But I can change this, I found some tools (like QDox) that could parse files and extract comments of them.
