When using multiple monitors, 3d view does not work (error message in attachment). As soon as I disable the second monitor, 3d view is working again. This bug was introduces in version 5.2, it works flawlessly with version 5.1.

OS: Arch Linux
GPU: GeForce GTX 960
Driver: NVIDIA-367.35
Java versions tested: 1.6, 1.7, 1.8 (both openjdk and oracle)

I don't see any changes between version 5.1 and 5.2 that could provoke this issue.
Are you sure you tried both versions available at SourceForge.net?

Yes, 100% sure. Tried various versions from sourceforge (from 5.1 down to 4.3) and all of them worked (with the jre included from the sourceforge download), but 5.2 does not work, neither with the jre included from the sourceforce download nor with various other choices (listed in ticket description).

I am willing to investigate this, proposals on how to debug this, what other tests I could run are welcome ;)

Please try version 5.3 beta 7 available here. It comes with a new version of Java3D and an older JRE that could fix your issue.
