on this system:
Sweep version 0.8.1
Sweep plugin API version 1.1.0
sweep crashes, when trying to record with the msg:
open_dsp_device 2 : Unpassender IOCTL (I/O-Control) f=FCr das Ger=E4t
which means "unfitting IOCTL for the device".
Don't know what it means and how to fix it. Any ideas?
Playing sound works.

hmm, you've provided enough info to track down the problem ... that
error is happening when sweep tries to find out if the audio device is
set to record in stereo (the "open_dsp_device 2" message is printed when
that should be fairly easy to work around. In fact it's calling exit()
when that fails, which is quite dumm :)
I'm reworking these bits of code now anyway, so I'll fix that up for
the next release. Thanks for the report :)
