This problem was a bogus sndfile.pc in pkgconfig. :-) sweep-0.5.10a compiled this time but scrubby freezes when I choose a snd file from the menu! |

OK, that all looks fine. Now where is the config.log file? Where
are the last 20 or so lines of make output?
I suspect your attempts to get your problems fixed would get far better
results if you read this:
http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
before asking for further help. Please don't think I'm being harsh here,
but you simply have not provided sufficient information to debug your
problem. I'm sorry, but I am not psychic. I also have very limited time
to spend debugging other people's problems. I have more than enough
of my own as well as the ones in my day job :-).

I have got a lot of linux sound apps up and running. In fact last week, because of an informed person at Audacity we were told which version would compile on ppc.It compiled and works very well. I have many sound software programs running on YDL2.2. For over six months now I have been compiling various sweep packages to no avail. I know that sweep runs on ppc but it seems likely that I am fated not to be able to use it. Odd that other things compile. BTW- I only send information to list that has been asked for! Why add to the bandwidth. OK enough is enough. I have found your continual rudeness intolerable. Instead of telling me to RFM I would suggest you get some anger management classes. |

You are providing near zero information to help with the debugging
process. I would suggest, at a minimum, the following:
- The complete output of ./configure
- config.log
- The last 20 lines o make output before the error
