I am a PhD student and my goal is to find structure in musical pieces. For
this reason I have been working on a framework for audio analysis, completely
done in Python (with the help of SciPy and many other libs).
The stuff I have now can find similarity and borders (like segmentation) in
many different types of music.
Hence my questions:
* Would it be easy to create a kind of Python interface for Sweep? An
interface that allows me to use Sweep as a player and a viewer of audio. A
possibility to pass around Numeric arrays would be great.
* Would it be feasible to have different forms of visualisation inside Sweep?
Stuff like spectra, MFCC's, similarity matrices...
* Are there people on this list interested in this? I'm asking this because C
hacking is not my favourite pastime.
I hope to get permission to release my work under the GPL, so that it can be
useful for the general public.
P.S. http://sweep.sf.net/ doesn't look very good in Konqueror.
