btw. are you running anything else that could be using many locks (such as
a heavily used SQL database) or are you accessing your home directory over
the error is described in the fcntl(2) man page as:
ENOLCK Too many segment locks open, lock table is full, or a remote
locking protocol failed (e.g. locking over NFS).
