Im having problems with after I restart swatch after I
clear my
syslgs using cat > /dev/null to the syslog. Swatch
restarts
with new tail and .swatch.script.pid files ,BUT does not
kill the OLD ONES . So each day I have to use the kill -9
to remove them . I m on a solarix 9.x system. I see
that a
user submitted a fix for this but that script suppied
was for LINUX
using the pstree command (not available on solaris
systems.
Does anybody else have this problem and knows how to
fix it.
I even tried running swatch as a deamon ,and restarting
didnt
kill anything. Man pages say if running swatch as a
deamon a
restart of swatch will kill it cleanly. It doesnt for me.
Any help running swat (not as a deamon and clearing out
the old .swatch.script,pid and tail processes would be
greatly
appreciated.

In the above I may have said a few times that the files dont
go away.
I should have said the processes DONT go away.
