#1 Dependency Downloads ingnore EXCLUDES

Following on from my previous bug report, Swaret keeps
asking to install pilot-link-whatever-version even
though I have expressly forbidden it with

EXCLUDE=kernel-ide kernel-modules kernel-source
checkinstall cdrtools php -*sulaco$ pilot-link
xfree86-4.3.0

It won't ask to upgrade pilot-link, but it keeps asking
if I want to install it after a dep check:

=> Upgrading kdepim-3.2.0-i486-1 to
kdepim-3.2.0-i486-2... DONE!
=> Upgrading libxslt-1.1.2-i486-1 to
libxslt-1.1.3-i486-1... DONE!
=> Upgrading metamail-2.7-i386-1 to
metamail-2.7-i486-2... DONE!
