[swanmodel-users] Wave height underestimation for Westhuysen Whitecapping

Dear list members

In order to consider swell wave dissipation for a modeling effort along the
U.S east coast, I used the *Westhuysen* Whitecapping approach. This
approach successfully resolved the problem with overestimation of wave
period that I had before when I used KOMEN and Jenssen formulations.
However, *Westhuysen* Whitecapping underestimates wave height, especially
during storms. In the SWAN manual no tuning parameter was presented for
this approach. Does anyone know a way that I can improve wave height
simulation based on *Westhuysen* Whitecapping?
