Swampfox focus change

After many discussions and debates, it has been decided to change the direction of Swampfox. Instead of a JSP/Java content management system, it has been decided to create a free family oriented product that is easy for end-users to install and use.

JSP/Servlet Photogallery

SFPhotogallery will be the first module that will be implemented. This should give me a good education in what it will take to develop the rest of Swampfox.

SFGallery should be able to generate its own thumbnails, provide image navigation and allow for text descriptions under the image.

SFGallery should also be used in conjunction with a CSS as well as an XML configuration file that is updated via a web interface.... read more

Still learning the basics

Hello everyone,

Just wanted you guys to know that we are still here and plan on working on this project. Its just that everyone is in the process of learning Java, JSP, XML, XSLT and such.

We've still got a long ways to go, but progress is happening and progress is good! :-)

Derek Davis joins Swampfox core team

This morning I received an E-mail from Derek Davis stating that he was interest and willing to join our project and be a member of the core team
Derek will be working with us from Chicago.

Core Swampfox team formed

Today the core development team was formed for Swampfox. It consists of myself (John Brosan), Krishna Kanchibhatta, David Amick and Nour Smali. If all goes well I would like to bring Derek Davis onboard as our last core team member.

As you can see from this post we've started our project on Soure Forge and plan to start development here from the beginning.

We are still in the process of gearing up for this project and we soon hope to begin our development.... read more
