We wonder if it is possible to configure the servENT so
that you have a "static" servent list and when servENT
starts, it reads this list and tries to connect to this
static list.

Thanks in advance,

If you are using version 0.2.x you can edit a file in the
conf directory named "nodes".
This file can contain, for example:

Cgaudi.techideas.es:2002
Dtau.uau.it:2002

If the line begins with a C, the servent will try to
connect at the startup, if the line begins with a D, the
servent will not try to connect.

This feature is highly experimental and I hope it will be
improved in the next version.

Hi,

This feature is enough to mantain easily the SMEs
bootstrapping.

I have create a file named "nodes" (no ".nodes") with this
content:

Cdbe.ita.es:2002

I am using version 0.2.0 in a Windows XP operating system.
When I start the servENT, the file is automatically
changed with this content, but there are no neighbors:

D/pre>
Ddbe.ita.es:2002
D80.81.103.103:2002
Dlamia.ced.tuc.gr:2002
D217.125.42.136:2002
Dpre>
Dgaudi.techideas.es:2002

These servENTs seems to be the neighbors of dbe.ita.es,
but it is not connected in the FADA http console

Any suggestion?

My only suggestion is you change manually all the Ds by Cs
so next time the Servent will try to connect to those nodes.

Cdbe.ita.es:2002
C80.81.103.103:2002
Clamia.ced.tuc.gr:2002
C217.125.42.136:2002

As I said before, this feature is highly experimental, and
we have observed the file usually shows all nodes as
disconnected when the servent is stopped. Better results
are expected in the next release.

Ok, but then every time we have to change this file.

Maybe you can log this issue as a feature request

Thanks,
