my guess would be that nobody really cares about that. In the earlier
days of Internet, as I believe
the designator of xxx.com would refer to a commercial Website, Org to
some Organization, xxx.edu
would be some educational Web Pages etc.
In my opinion the most appropriate one would be xxxx.net.
However, I could imagine that many people are reluctant to visit Web
pages with the xxx.net
since many are stuffed with annoying pop-up advertising that actually
doesn't let you see the
original content. Wherever, you move your mouse, something pops into
your face, wanted or not.
This is because they get a few pennies per click, so they force the
visitor to trigger something by placing
advertising over the actual content of the page. I totally disagree with
Sorry, I personally stay away from those, although my website has a dot net.
I only can guess that there are hopefully a number of sane people behind me.
I am not suggesting that your web page would turn out the same way,
rather I am suggesting that since the
practices used on todays Internet leave a bad taste in your mouth.
To make my point, I think any of them would be fine, use the least
expensive one, if there is still differences.
