Hello SvxLink users! I just wanted to announce a new release of SvxLink. http://svxlink.sf.net/ The previous release was made under the name "qtel". This is now just one of the packages in the SvxLink project. The biggest news in this release is the addition of the svxlink server. This stand alone server is designed to be connected to a tranciever. Voice services modules can then be loaded into the core system to give it more functionality. Right now the following modules exist: * Help - A help system to get help about the system as a whole and the loaded modules. * Parrot - This module records everything you say and plays it back when you release the PTT. Right now, it is limited to 15 seconds of recorded audio. * EchoLink - Create connections to other EchoLink nodes. Users of Qtel have had problems getting the audio to work. I have rewritten the audio code following the description in the OSS programming manual. It is quite possible that the problem still exists but it works very well on my sound card (Sound Blaster Live). Please report any problems to the mailinglist (svx...@li...). Include the type of sound card you use in the report. 73's de Tobias / SM0SVX |
