#28 Error when attempting to change permissions

When accessing the user privileges page I get the following:

Fatal Error

[2048] Non-static method PEAR_ErrorStack::singleton() should not be called statically (@line 983 in file /usr/share/pear/PEAR/ErrorStack.php).

I was running on 1.9 and updated to 1.10 but the error remains.

Workaround appears to be to turn off E_STRICT in php.ini
