#43 − entity appears incorrectly in PDF version

The XML source uses the entity − for a minus sign, which shows up correctly in the HTML
docs, but as a hash (#) in the PDF version. It might also be nice to have a space on either side of the
minus sign. This problem is present in the nightly build for 1.6 as well.
