Beginning with Subversion 1.8 it is possible to declare the version of master server to slave servers in write-throuigh proxy server configuration using SVNMasterVersion Apache directive. This feature should be helpful in case master and slave servers run different versions of SVN. E.g. master is on 1.7 but slaves are on 1.8.

Write-through proxy section should be updated with this info: http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.8/svn.serverconfig.httpd.html#svn.serverconfig.httpd.extra.writethruproxy
