I *think* that link refers to this document:
http://blogs.collab.net/subversion/2008/05/subversion-15-1-2/
Hoping that Paul Burba can confirm as much.
(And once again, I'm reminded that I want that information copied into the book proper ... I hate referring to web documents from within the book text.)

Paul: can you please review your old blog post with an eye on which bits remain relevant and can be reproduced in Chapter 4? Thanks!

http://blogs.collab.net/subversion/2008/05/subversion-15-1-2/ isn't the actual document, it's just the blog post that pointed to the full article. Here's a functioning link: http://www.open.collab.net/community/subversion/articles/merge-info.html
I updated the link in the book for now. I will take some time to move any essential info from the article to the book. However the article is *very* long and detailed (and somewhat out-of-date!) so I lean towards keeping the link, but I'll reserve judgement till I take a fresh look at it.

As Paul said, the broken link is repaired now. And having reviewed the article again, I think it's aimed at a different audience than the book primarily has, so I'm fine with just referring to it from the book text.
