When I go to the contents page of the book, my anti-virus (AVG) detects a virus threat called SWF/Downloader and the filename is ds.serving-sys.com/BurstingRes///Site-33773/Type-2/0316ddfc-f8be-4ab8-9ebb-92757bb852ff.swf

Please remove the link to this page and disinfect it.

I've seen similar reports about other projects -- the offending content appears to be getting served up through Google's Ad system.  We don't really control which ads appear, so there's nothing we can really do about it other than complain to Google (which I will do as soon as I finish posting this comment).

If you need a workaround, consider downloading the tarball of the book (http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.7/svn-book-html-chunk.tar.bz2) and exploding it locally onto your computer.  That version doesn't have the embedded Google ads.
