* doc/book/book/ch04.xml
(vendor branches): fitz is right, this should be refering to 'Subversion'
rather than 'svn', since we mean the version control system, not the
command line program. while i'm here, switch some short commands to the
longer style as suggested in book/HACKING.

Added "Subversion: The Definitive Guide" into the Subversion source
tree. Tweaked Makefile.in so users can build the docs from the top
level, removed the old handbook, and relocated the French handbook to
A Safe Place.

This work is mostly the combined effort of C. Michael Pilato, Ben
Collins-Sussman, and myself--I'm just committing it. :)

* Makefile.in: Build the book and the misc guide by calling into the
Makefile in doc/book.

Modified Targets:
install-info, install-info, doc
Removed targets:
doc-info, doc-dvi, doc-txt, doc-html, doc-ps, doc-pdf
Added targets:
doc-book, doc-misc-docs, doc-design, doc-all-html, doc-all-pdf,
doc-all-ps, doc-all-info, doc-design-info, doc-design-html,
doc-design-txt, doc-design-dvi, doc-design-ps, doc-design-pdf,
doc-book-html, doc-book-pdf, doc-book-ps, doc-misc-docs-html,

* build.conf: Removed any refs to doc/*

* doc/book/: New Directory for all things related to the book, as
well as other docbook-lite docs.

* doc/book/HACKING: New file. A very basic style guide for the book.

* doc/book/Makefile: New file.

* doc/book/README: New file. Read me! Read ME!

* doc/book/book/*: New files/directories. XML and related image files
for the book.

* doc/book/misc-docs/*: New XML files for miscellaneous docs not in the
book (which is not to say that they'll *never* be in the
book--just not now).

* doc/book/outline.txt: New file. The outline for the book as approved
by ORA.

* doc/book/tools/: New files/directories. Tools to help build the book.

* doc/book/tools/bin: New directory containing executables that
help build the book (aside from the ones you have to download).

* doc/book/tools/bin/run-fop.sh: New file. This deals with finding fop
and running it without spamming the user to death with unimportant
errors.

* doc/book/tools/dtd/*: New files/directories. The dblite dtd that we
use for the book as well as a copy of the Docbook 4.1 DTD.

* doc/book/tools/svnbook.el: Emacs-flavored goodness for all xml
files should use (if you're an emacs weenie, that is).

* doc/handbook/*.texi: Deleted files. Transmogrified into docbook-lite
and absorbed into book and misc-doc

* doc/handbook/translations/*: Moved to /doc/translations

* doc/translations: Moved from /doc/handbook/translations
