Part of your Sourceforge account information is a contact email address. This address must be configured correctly in order to receive replies to messages you send via the Sourceforge system. For example, if you send me a message using the 'Send Message' box on my Sourceforge account page, I will receive an email. When I reply to your email, Sourceforge will send my response to your 'Sourceforge' email account.
I've recently received a couple of messages from users that do not have a valid email address configured for their Sourceforge account. In these cases, I (very sadly) have no way to actually reach these users.
If you've sent me a message via Sourceforge in the past and you haven't received a response, please check your Sourceforge account settings and let me know to try re-sending my response.
