#84 compressed annotation file import

It would be useful to allow the import of
annotation files (either in the text or
xml formats) which are Bzip2 compressed.

Particularly when loaded from the "Open Location..."
option from the file menu.

This would allow for more efficient storage
of "value at a time" data, and might make
storage of data grids possible.
