"Global Vertical Zoom"

In addition to the existing global (vertical) zoom property of a pane, it would be nice to have a global vertical zoom (or vertical display extents) lock property.
Layers on any pane that had this switched on would receive a notification when the vertical display extents changed on any other layer with the same scale units on any other pane that had the property also switched on, and would presumably respond by adjusting their display extents to match.
It would be off by default.
The principal aim would be to allow two separate spectrogram panes to be scrolled and zoomed vertically in sync.
This is a much needed feature for any serious spectral comparison analysis.
It is a shame that it has not been developed in the last 15 years.
