Hi everyone.

Currently, Sonic Visualiser uses the dot as decimal separator for values when exporting to CSV files. This is standard in english speaking countries, but there are other countries where the comma is used as decimal separator, in Brazil where I live for example.

The feature request I would like to make is to add an option to the CSV export dialog to change the decimal separator symbol. I suppose this option should be disabled or forced to the dot if comma is already selected as column separator, as it is by default.

Why am I requesting this? Because Microsoft Excel handles this situation very badly. Since my computer is set to the Brazilian locale, to make Excel correctly understand the values in my CSV files i need first to open them in a text editor, replace all dots by commas, and then import the CSV file into Excel, since Excel does not give an easy way to set the correct data type when importing CSVs. But this causes another problem: if I use measure/beat labels which have the format measure.bar (1.1 1.2 1.3 etc), these dots are also replaced by commas, and Excel interprets them as numbers. This causes all kinds of problems when creating charts for example. LibreOffice Spreadsheet is much better at this, but some people work with Excel and are not willing to install and learn to use LibreOffice.

Thank you for your attention.
