double clicking on time instants causes move
Brought to you by:

Using SV 1.2 pre1 in Windows XP.
When double-clicking on time instants
during Edit mode, the time placement of the
instant can move forwards or backwards
slightly in time.
For example, if a time instant is placed
at 17 sec/0 usec, and the instant is
double-clicked just off to the right
when trying to re-label the instant, the
time instant will be moved 2 milliseconds
later in the file to 17 sec/2040 usec.
This is also true on the other side
of the time instant, where the time instant
will be moved back in time towards the
beginning of the file by about the same
2 milliseond amount.
When double-clicking on a time instant
the time location should not change, only
with click/dragging should it be changing.

The double-clicking itself jogs the arrow left or right unless one is very careful. I've got used to it now, but the danger is always there. A work-around is to make a tempo graph first, then to use its points as a guide to the correct placement of the time instants. Not ideal though. Dan.

You're double-clicking with the Move tool selected, right?
If you have the navigate (hand) tool selected, the instant doesn't move (and you can still double-click on it).
(It's still a bug -- just suggesting a workaround)

Yes with the four-arrow icon selected.

Yes, that work-around works. Although, I notice an unusual
behaviour when doing the label editing in navigate mode
which is probably a bug:
In navigate mode, I double-click on a time instant to edit the
text label. After editing the text label, I close the
properties window. The mouse is now being used to actively
drag the pane left/right (with the newly edited time instant
following the mouse). To exit from the active dragging,
I can click once.
This means that there are two actions to finish editing
a text label: (1) close the time instant property window,
(2) click once in the pane to cancel the active dragging.
