As you may know we were using the Java Look&Feel Graphics Repository icons in the questionnaire runner. These icons are released by Sun under a rather restrictive license that didn't let us redistribute them unless they were packed with our sources or binaries, or included in our source repository. The problem arose when I needed one of the icons modified to get another icon: the license forces you to use the icons as they are, without giving you the possibility of even modifying colors (this is stated explicitly in the license). So finally I got fed up of those license issues, googled for a while and finally I found the Tango project [1]. This project intends to provide a homogeneous user experience in open source desktops. One of the things they provide is an icon collection released under a CC license that they even publish on the maven central repository, so I have dropped the jlfgr jar and switched to the Tango icons. Javi, It seems you're using tabs to format XML documents. Could you please change your settings so you use spaces instead of tabs, with 2 spaces per tab? Thanks Jose |

Hi there, there is a problem with the logo with Internet Explorer, the backgroud is cyan. I think it's a iexplore problem but maybe there we can modify the image to look fine in all browser. Can anyone tell me if it's only a iexplore problem? Ok, I've finally managed to add the SourceForge.net logo to every page in the site, in the left navigation menu. In order to do this I've had to create a custom template for the site, and as adviced in the maven site, I've packaged it in a custom skin, in a new module called surveyforge-style. Bad news: we should keep an eye on mainstream just in case the "standard" template changes (I have just added a line to the template and two styles in one of the stylesheets). Good news: we're now free to create a really custom style for our site just modifying the stylesheets included in the surveyforge-style module. Jose |

I've updated the metadata at the CIA site, you may found the project information here: https://cia.navi.cx/stats/project/surveyforge As you may see, I've done a provisional logo that I've also included in the generated site, that I've uploaded today: http://www.surveyforge.org/ Best regards Jose |

This is a tool that has been developed recently, and it seems to be gaining audience. The glassfish project made a comparison between jUnit and TestNG and they chose TestNG. In addition, I think they have recently added support for TestNG to Maven. Best regards Jose |

Hi there, which tool we are using for developing the test phase? In others projects like netflux I've seen they used junit but I remember you mentioned another one. Regards, Javier |

I've added issue management support to the subversion repository. This is done defining some svn properties at the folders of the project. These properties are currently defined in the trunk folder, so as long as you always checkout this folder, they will be available. TortoiseSVN and Sublipse have suppot for this, and you will see that whenever you do a commit a new field is shown to be filled in, something like Issue Nr (it depends on localization). This should be filled in with the corresponding "Request ID" field from the bug tracker at sf.net. Unfortunately this support only handles URLs with a BUGID parameter, so we won't be able to link commits with issues other than the bug tracker. So summing up: 1. Everybody working on the project should always checkout the trunk folder (or the corresponding branch or tag) but not a subfolder 2. Whenever a commit is made, if the commit is related to a reported issue, the Issue Nr field must be filled in 3. Issues other than bugs reported at the tracker should be converted to bugs if we want to have them linked to its related commit Best regards Jose |

Hi, some issues... * I've updated the home page url of the project, now points to http://www.surveyforge.org. * It could be interesting and practical to have a link pointing to the SF project page on the home page of the project. * I've asked and is more suitable to say "the tools which are available" rather than "the tools available". It's more formal and it's correct. Regards, Javi |
