SurfFind

SURF FIND is a simple and fast grep-like text search software, which keeps the previous search results as separate tabs. It also implements file caching mechanism so that the subsequent searches for the same set of files will be completed faster.

Each tab has the list of found files and lines on the left, and the text viewer on the right to show the selected line on the list. On the text viewer, user can select a new keyword and start a new search instantly. On the list view, external editor can be invoked by double clicks. Also, the found files can be drag & dropped to other window.

This project is a clone of TabTextFinder (http://sourceforge.jp/projects/tabtextfinder/simple/)
dedicated to Japanese character sets with automatic encoding detection. This clone omits the automatic encoding detection and uses the default encoding by default.
