Please have a look at our idea page. The lobby project includes an 
achievement system. As always feel free to suggest your own projects, 
our list of ideas are just suggestions.

Hi,

I'm a graduate student from Fudan University in China and I'm interested in
contributing code to SuperTuxKart during GSoC 2013.

I have played the game for some days. It's actually an interesting game.
However, I noticed it doesn't have its own achievement system. I think a
good achievement system can make players play our game again and again. So
what do you think about implementing an achievement system as a GSoC
project?

In fact, I have no blueprint about this idea now and I'm not sure whether
you like it or not. If you think it's meaningful to have an achievement
system in SuperTuxKart, I have a strong willingness to help.
