So, I tried in ubuntu and I don't have VS 2012 installed yet, but will install it in a day or two (time permitting). I've just updated the VS 10 project file - the file list wasn't up-to-date, and I fixed two compiler warnings. Unfortunately it appears my VS 10 install is not correct (not related to STK, but directx causing a wrong include file to be used). So I am not 100% sure that I've fixed everything at this stage. I'll try to fix this tomorrow. One note though: don't use the x64 build, fixing 64-bit build on windows is still on our todo list. > successfully compiled and build the game. > > I would like to work on a few small bugs which will make me get > accustomed to the project. Please tell me some bugs to work on. Also any > suggestions on how to build the game on Visual Studio 2012. We tried to identify some easy bugs, but basically found that most of our bugs are too difficult, or not really related to the projects. Feel free to have a look at our tickets (http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/supertuxkart/report - you will notice there is a special gsoc list, but it has only two tickets in it, which is why we actually didn't make this a requirement). Instead it might be better to study the sources, and perhaps just open a ticket to improve them - e.g. more documentations, or fixing coding style issues (our coding style has changed somewhat, and not all files have been changed). Or if you find any printf (or fprintf to cout/cerr) with the new Log:: interface (see utils/log, and just search for Log:: to see how it is used). Hope that helps for now!
