Super Sparrow is an Open Source implementation of a global load balancing algorithm. The algorithm uses BGP routing information to determine the server closest to an end user. Using either DNS or HTTP redirects an end user's connection is transparently forward to the closest server. This may be used by large content providers to push their sites closer to end users, reducing latency and increasing access performance.
