Folks: It's a tad embarrassing to go into my 'To Process' mailbox for SunDog and see unanswered e-mails dating back 9 months. Sigh. The long answer is that work (see http://bfwa.com) has had me swamped for most of that period. The short answer is that it's been easy to push things off. This particular e-mail is going out to the SunDog resurrection project mailing lists. If you got my earlier e-mail to my private list, then you can ignore this message. First, I have now answered all the e-mails that I have personally received. Second, if you're not yet part of the project itself and would like to be, let me know your SourceForge username and what you'd like to do. Third, if you haven't already, read http://sundog.sourceforge.net/gamedesign/drivers/ to get a sense of what SunDog: Resurrection is and is not trying to do. Fourth, what I need the most at this moment for the project are the following: -- someone who is very familiar and comfortable with SourceForge's source control (CVS) system and who can take charge of that aspect of the project -- someone who wants to manage the project, i.e., add new people to the project, assign roles, privileges, and tasks, track what's getting done, and so on -- someone who wants to help manage the web site (http://sundog.sourceforge.net), both content and format. In short, people who can and will do tasks that I tend to block on. My role will largely be chief game designer and architectural gatekeeper (two things I know I can do well). My apologies for the delays. ..bruce.. Bruce F. Webster (http://bfwa.com) Washington, DC |
