Dear all, I want to integrate Road/Scenario in SMUO. I have converted my KML file to a shapefile using Arcgis desktop. I tried to convert the shp file to a .net.xml file with this command: netconvert --shapefile-prefix Export_Output --shapefile.use-defaults-on-failure -o nav_pos.net.xml this error is displayed : Error: Could not obtain edge id. Error: No nodes loaded. Quitting (on error). Can you help me please ? Thanks. -- Best Regards, SAGAAMA Insaf. PhD student at CRISTAL Lab, RAMSIS Pole, ENSI- Tunisia. |

Dear sir, I want to create scenario in SUMO and while vehicles are moving on the road, these information needs to be pass to any network simulator (eg. Ns3 ) for communication. So in case at any point of time, if there will be congestion of traffic due to any reason, this information will be passed to vehicle that is already far 1 or 2 mile from that point and can be reroute. To implement this type of Feedback based network, 1) Is it possible to transmit all vehicle scenario to any network simulator and feedback will be again taken by SUMO? 2) Where can i get any related documents so that i can refer it and proceed further.? Thanks and regards, -- Viral Patel |

However, even after setting the junction as 'traffic_light_unregulated', and the --collision.check-junctions set as true and the --collision.action warn set as well, I do not get a collision warning in SUMO. I request you to please help me with the required changes to get a warning for such collisions. The attachments include the example files. Regards, Rohan |

Dear all,
I want to make each vehicle in SUMO receives a TCP socket from an external
C++ Server to change its route.
The received packet is a struct.
I tried to extract from this latter an edges list.
I insert this code :
*char *token ;*
* /* get the first token */*
*token strtok(packet_optimal_route.EdgesList_ID, s);*
* /* walk through other tokens */*
* while (token != NULL)*
* {*
* cout << " edge ID" << token << endl;*
* token = strtok(NULL, s);*
* } *
I got this error when I runned a SUMO project : "Bad allocation Quitting
(on error)"
What is the problem ? Can you help me please ?
Thanks.

Hello, if your car following model creates situations where strong braking is required, make sure to set a high-enough value for emergencyDecel. Hello everyone, When I output the tripinfo, it says waitSteps= an integer value. How can I get this or the total waiting time for each vehicle in seconds? Also, how can I calculate a queue length? What is the concept of time Step? when I generate a route file with 12 vehicles departing at the same time step but in different time frame, such as the first vehicle departs at 0 seconds, the second at 3rd second, the third one in 6th second but they all are departing at the same time step. Here, the time step in 9 seconds. 10 minutes later, there are 5 vehicles departing at the same time step and the time step there becomes 5 seconds. What can I make of time step if I want to calculate the waiting time at an intersection? Also, any ideas on what does tau trigger? what file can I find it's source code and what functions are related to it? I want to simulate different perception-reaction times (0.5 second, 1 second, 2 seconds), How should I go for it? Thank you, ------------------------------------- Tariq R Rahimi Graduate Student |

Hello,
traci.start() assumes that sumo will be started by the script on the local
computer (it picks a random free port for that).
If the traci client is on a different computer from the sumo simulation you
must take these steps
- select a port number (i.e. 9000)
- start the simulation on one computer (assume this is called 'computer1')
by calling sumo with option --remote-port 9000
- in the traci client script call traci.init(port=9000, host="computer1")

Jakob

Dear all,
I want to make each vehicle in SUMO receives a TCP packet from an external
Server.
I have implemented this Python Script :
*import traci*
*traci.start(sumoCmd) *
*while traci.simulation.getMinExpectedNumber() > 0: *
* for veh_id in traci.vehicle.getIDList():*
* position = traci.vehicle.getSpeed(veh_id)*
* print(veh_id)*
* print(traci.vehicle.getRoute(veh_id))*
* traci.vehicle.setRoute("veh0", ["44468929", "189216027", "371230575",
"167920445"])*
* traci.close()*
*sys.stdout.flush()*
This error is raising :
Could not connect to TraCI server at localhost:57613 [Errno 10061] No
connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it
Retrying in 1 seconds
What is the problem ? Can you help me please ?
Thanks.

Dear all,
I want to make each vehicle in SUMO receives a packet through a TCP Socket
from the Server.
The packet contains the ("vehicle ID", "edges IDs") to refer the optimal
route.
Is there another solution (i.e developing a code in SUMO ) except the
Python Traci solution ? and how ?
Thanks.
Best regards,
SAGAAMA Insaf.

Dear all,
When I add this code to the Python script
: traci.vehicle.setRoute("down_567", ["52o", "2i", "1o", "51i"]); a traci
exception is raising : *run*
* traci.vehicle.setRoute("down_567", ["52o", "2i", "1o", "51i"])*
* File "C:\sumo-0.30.0\tools\traci\_vehicle.py", line 815, in setRoute*
* self._connection._sendExact()*
* File "C:\sumo-0.30.0\tools\traci\connection.py", line 109, in _sendExact*
* raise TraCIException(prefix[1], _RESULTS[prefix[2]], err)*
*TraCIException: Vehicle 'down_567' is not known*
What is the problem ? Can you help me please ?
Thanks.
My Best Regards,
SAGAAMA Insaf.

Hello, the detector-gap value is given in seconds of travel time. Note, that the network speed is given in m/s (your value of 35 would be very unusual for a controlled intersection. In order to have the detector at 40m you have to set the gap to 40 / speedInMetersPerSecond. regards, Jakob 2018-03-21 2:40 GMT+01:00 Kathy Jang via sumo-devel < sum...@li...>: > Hi, > > I'm trying to implement actuated traffic lights in my simulation by passing > in the tlLogic via additional-files. Hello, it seems your attachment was lost somehow. You can send your .net.xml and addtional file directly to me and I'll check. regards, Jakob 2018-03-21 2:40 GMT+01:00 Kathy Jang via sumo-devel < sum...@li...>: > Hi, > > I'm trying to implement actuated traffic lights in my simulation by passing > in the tlLogic via additional-files. Hi, I'm trying to implement actuated traffic lights in my simulation by passing in the tlLogic via additional-files. My file is appended below. Two things: 1) When I set detector-gap in this file, the program doesn't seem to respond to it, and it continues to be set at 500m (which is the length of my network). I want to change this so I don't need to have a very large minDur value. 2) I set the minDur value to some high value (127.0) to circumvent the warning, and it would seem the actuated traffic lights would work, but they still aren't changing. Is there a better way to implement actuated traffic lights? All my best, Kathy Jang University of California, Berkeley | 2018 B.A. Computer Science |
