You've probably posted this to the OMNeT++ mailing list because you are setting up an Inter Vehicle Communication (IVC) simulation. If this is the case you might not want to do this based on TIGER data, but on OSM data instead (we're outlining the reasons for this in our paper "Improving the Accuracy of IVC Simulation using Crowd-sourced Geodata"). In short, all of the data that's in recent TIGER data sets has been integrated with the OSM data base, together with lots of additional data that could be shown to make vehicle-to-X communication simulations much more realistic. You can find a detailed explanation of how to import OSM data in the SUMO wiki <http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/sumo/index.php?title=OpenStreetMapImport> and a short tutorial on how to set up OMNeT++ and SUMO for vehicle-to-vehicle communication simulations on the Veins website <http://veins.car2x.org/tutorial/>.
