The options "--save-template FILE --save-template.commented" of all SUMO commands generate an XML configuration file with XML-comments explaining each option. Most (all?) of the options are passed as attributes of empty-element-tags and the explaining comments are put directly in front of the respective attribute inside the empty-element-tag.
If I understand the latest XML specification (see http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-xml/\) of 2008-11-26 correctly it is not allowed to put a comment inside an empty-element-tag. So the comments should be placed somewhere else or the XML-tag shouldn't be empty, i.e. take a long form with open and close tag and nothing in between.
