sudoscript-user — Users of Sudoscript

I installed sudoscript on a test system running Solaris 9, and it is
working great.  However, our production systems are still running
Solaris 8 and perl version 5.6.1, and sudoscript doesn't work in this
environment.

I saw on the sudoscript website, that there was a sudoscript patch for
Solaris 8, but I can't find that patch anywhere on the sudoscript
website or on sourceforge.

I am using sudoscript:  sudoscriptd-in,v 1.9 2004/11/12 05:27:54 hbo

I tired running the same sudoscript version on Solaris 8 with perl
5.8.5, and with this, sudoscriptd doesn't startup.  I get the following
error:

unix dgram connect: Socket operation on non-socket at
/usr/local/sbin/sudoscriptd line 71
no connection to syslog available at /usr/local/sbin/sudoscriptd line 71
