I'm seriously thinking of making a few accounts on my home Irix machine publicly available for various Free Software developers. I did that sporadically in the past, but now i need a better infrastructure (put the machine on a separate "branch" on my firewall, get a larger hard-drive, etc.). It's not only Irix which benefits from that, it's also the open source applications. For example, PureFTPd was thorougly cleaned up in early stages (around 1.0.0) using MIPSPro, the Irix native C compiler, which is extremely pedantic about code errors, "syntax mud" and stuff like that. But i need some time to spare first. And, yeah, a bigger HDD. -- Florin Andrei "You can get excited about just any subject if you study it enough.
